celimax's Vita-A set puts two forms of vitamin A in one routine. The serum is for the whole face; the booster is for the places that need more. The idea is to start broad and then concentrate, rather than putting the strongest thing everywhere.
Retinol Shot Tightening Serum — 30ml
- Retinol 0.1% for the whole face
- A nine-peptide complex with panthenol 1%
- A-Shot™ delivery at 162,000
Retinal Shot Tightening Booster — 15ml
- Retinal 0.1% — the form of vitamin A one step closer to retinoic acid than retinol
- Matrixyl® 3000 at 3%, a patented peptide from the French house Sederma
- Panthenol 1%
- A-Shot™ delivery at 20,250, in particles far finer than a pore opening
How to use them
- At night, after cleansing: the serum over the whole face, then the booster on lines and pores
- Moisturiser over both
- Sunscreen every morning — not optional with vitamin A, or the work is undone and pigment gets worse
- New to retinoids: every other night for the first two weeks, then nightly if your skin is comfortable
- A mild tingle is normal. Stinging or flaking means less often.
- Patch test first if your skin is sensitive
- Keep both away from heat and light; vitamin A degrades in either
